The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America is one of the oldest and largest fraternal organizations in the country.

The Elks are committed to the service of our country’s youth, it’s veterans, the disabled, and the less-fortunate. Founded in 1868, the Elks have distributed over $2.5 billion to various charities, scholarship programs, and in support of local and national patriotic and civic programs.

Cohoes-Waterford Lodge #1317 is recognized as a leader in the Northeast District, and throughout New York State in its commitment to upholding and maintaining the ideals of Elkdom.

The Lodge is located at 45 North Mohawk Street in the city of Cohoes, New York. Constructed on the banks of the Mohawk River, and overlooking the famous Cohoes Falls, it has become a vital part of the surrounding community.

The Benevolent and Protective order of Elks is a nationwide organization of well over a million of America's finest citizens.  We love our country and desire to preserve its cherished institutions, traditions and values; respect our neighbors and constantly seek to promote their well-being; love and enjoy life and believe this enjoyment is increased by sharing it with family, friends and all with whom we come in contact.
