Ardyth joined the Cohoes-Waterford family in 1984 as a member of the Auxiliary where she remained active until joining the Lodge in 1997. As a member of both organizations, she has served on numerous committees including the Newsletter, Bazaar, Penny Social, Bingo and by briefly assuming the role of Lodge Treasurer upon the untimely death of her Father, Past Exalted Ruler Lee Hafensteiner. She has also taken on the Chairmanship of several Lodge functions such as the annual Awards Night and New Year’s Eve parties. When not serving directly as a member of a particular committee, she can be seen actively participating in virtually every Lodge activity. Since entering the Chairs in April 1999, she has attained All-Star status at each position in the Northeast District Ritual Competition. Ardyth grew up in Waterford, New York where she attended Waterford-Halfmoon High School, graduating in 1969. Afterwards, she remained active in the community as a Leader in the Girl Scouts of America, a member of the Eastern Star, and as a member of the Parent Teachers Association. Ardyth was employed by the former Grand Union Company for 28 years where she held various positions of authority. She currently in employed by First Cardinal Corporation of Latham, where she holds the position of Administrative Manager. She and her husband Peter married in 1994 and currently reside in Waterford. She has two children, Hollene Garofano of Lansingburgh and Christine Falcone of Waterford and two stepchildren, Brandon and Danielle Gardiner of Canton, Ga. She is also the doting Grandmother of one grandchild, Christopher Garofano of Lansingburgh.
